Got home to Felixstowe from our month in Scotland at 2:45pm checked the dip and it looked good flat and breezy so went home quicly unloaded the van got my trailor and headed to the beach. Mark Smalling was rigging 7.2 but to be honest it didn't look very windy but took a chance with the 7.5 but was never powered up and after a run out just planning I had lost so much down wind that it took ages to get back, the strong tide combined with light winds making things difficult:( I changed to the 8.5 and that made no difference as the wind all but disappeared and even the kiters packed up!!! My 133 xantos just isn't big enough for light wind shortboard sailing - looks like another visit to ebay for a cheap 145 lt board!!! at least the sun was out which was in short supply in Scotland :(
